Let's ask the airline directly
The taxi driver says it is going to be an LCC special airport It seems that the number of tourists from foreign countries is increasing now, and I was talking that the building is not enough due to the building rush to accept further -
40 minutes drive
That's a difficult question. It's difficult to get the right information because of the typhoon.
Not that i know.. wester union is a rip off anyways.
You should be doing it. It may be the next day
More impressive on the outside, but still a very enjoyable experience. Got to see Star wars in concert.
MoreAwesome place, gorgeous experience... Too bad we had one of the most sideways seats, so we couldn't see the full screen. But the acoustic is brilliant, and since we went to see Star Wars in Concert, it wasn't so bad (I must have seen the movies at least 15 times now...)
MoreThe concert we went to was not great but the seats and the venue was amazing
Great concerts but the acoustic could be better; the concert hall is made out of wood.
MoreThe location is very stylish. We saw the wonderful musical BODYGUARD and it was my first time in the Alte Oper. Surely not the last time
MoreGreat place which often hosts various events and fests which on the other hand block the bicycle paths.
MoreAmazing atmosphere, makes you feel like sitting there for ages.
Great hall was very impressive! Small one, Mozart hall, was not so impressive but cozy. 😊
MoreI've experienced better sound :), but the place overall is wonderful. The seats are relatively comfortable and the venue lends itself beautifully to different types of performances.
MoreExcellent Opera house. I watched The Italian Opera Night dedicated to Luciano Pavarotti in Der Grosse Saal and it was absolutely superb. The ambiance the venue great evening
MoreLoved every minute of it.
Wonderful concert hall!
The Alte Oper in the city center of Frankfurt is amazing architecture but the inside of the building is renovated, so you clearly see the difference between inside and outside of the building. Overall it’s an amazing place which has good concerts. There is also a restaurant and cafe bar nearby.
MoreIn the heart of Frankfurt, you can find beautiful events to attend. Inside the opera house has been refurbished and you cannot see anything of the spectacular architecture from inside. There is also a café and good restaurants in the near area.
MoreI went to see the Frankfurter Philharmonic perform Carmina Burana witha 200+ choir. Although we sat in the 5th floor, the sound was absolutely breathtaking. The soprano was clearly heard and carried even pianissimo parts to the very top. The opera house was initially build in 1880 but damaged heavily in WW2 so had to be rebuilt in the 1950s. The building is still very beautiful and the acoustics are astounding! Well worth a visit.
MoreGreat building. Architecture is remarkable. The only minus is that there is no museum part to see it from inside. The only possible way is to buy a ticket for an event
MoreWatched a concert here very classy place for a night out.
The architecture is stunning, complimented by the beautiful lighting in the night.
MoreThis place was so magical. Unfortunately, I was only there for a night, but it was worth a visit!
MoreOne of a kind. The building was basically destroyed during the WWII and rebuilt afterwards. The outside looks old, but the interior is very modern, with great acoustics, foyers and a good restaurant. A must go for any music lover. Recommended
MoreOne of the first places i visited when I first moved to Frankfrut!
Great place to visit. The walk through the park with a smaller fountain which leads into the larger water fountain and this beautiful building is a nice walk. The area around here is worth checking out. Spend some time walking around the area, checking out the restaurants and shops.
MoreThe former Opera House and one of the main opera houses in Germany. In 1944, the building was completely destroyed by bombing. The caring citizens of the city began a campaign and fundraising to prevent the demolition and further destruction of "the most beautiful ruins of Germany". The restored Old Opera House was reopened in 1981.
MoreThe acoustic was nice For playing it is not really the easiest stage tho
This place is great for some nice photos. Usually there is always something happening around this square, sometimes there are Latino food events and it's a great time with a nice atmosphere.
MoreThe Musical "The Bodyguard" was fantastic! 2 thumbs up!
Zuuuuuu wild bre🔥
Amazing concerts, beautiful auditorium and very good acoustics. I recommend seats in the rows 15-21, in Olymp, preferably in the middle
MoreGood center but I didn't like the cityI will not come back to it
The place is very nice, clean and superb architecture. Lot of restaurant, cafe and shopping street is near.
MoreIt's very fun to visit this place at night
One of the historic place in Frankfurt..good
The house has some rooms. I attended a concert in the main hall. The acoustics are amazing. it was an unforgettable experience
MoreGreat place to sit and chill specially in the evening.
Inside does not match the outside. We went here with the goal of having a concert in a beautiful old opera building, but when you enter the actual concert hall, it's a super modern interior.
MoreI liked visiting this area at night, it's very nice. And the surrounding area also is stylish and beautiful.
MoreBeautiful building in the heart of Frankfurt with a delightful water fountain and square in front. Classic exterior architecture with a modern interior. Very enjoyable evening watching the Blue Man Group.
Morenot bad, but for 100$ (star wars in concert) you sit on an uncomfortable small chair, even the seats at mc donalds are better.
MoreThe original opera house in Frankfurt, Germany, is now the Alte Oper (Old Opera). This is a concert. It was inaugurated in 1880 but destroyed by bombs in 1944. It was rebuilt, slowly, in the 1970s, opening again in 1981. Many important operas were performed for the first time in Frankfurt, including Carl Orff's Carmina Burana in 1937.During our visit to Old Opera we didn't get to see any program there but indeed it was a great watch from outside as well. I personally recommend everyone to visit and appreciate the architecture.
MoreGorgeous building, just near the city centre. Lovely view and definitely worth a visit. Looks even better in evening
MoreGreat place to eat. The service was very good*Pro-tip: use the hidden lift to get to the restaurant.
MoreHighly recommended as a must-do for a short trip. Went to see a performance of Beethoven's music and it was utterly sublime. A beautiful building outside and in, with a wonderful crowd of mixed generations all with an appreciation of the musical talent on display. Incredibly talented performers and an efficient and helpful staff. Ticket very reasonably priced and despite not speaking the language it was perfectly simple to attend the performance, having booked online.

MoreBeautiful square in the middle of the city. Amazing architecture and detail in the building. Lively ambience with a calm. Lots and lots of crowds. The fountain in the middle is an amazing calming thing. Could sit here for hours!
MoreBeautifully reconstructed building. Sadly the inside of the main hall has a rather 90s flair. But the show was great and the general area is really lovely. An absolute must see in Frankfurt even if you're just passing by. If you're looking for a nicely cultural evening event, this is the place to go.
MoreWe had an hour in Zurich before catching our flight, so met a local friend who did a wonderful job of showing us the city under sixty minutes. To save time we caught the tram to start the trip at this beautiful park that is high up above the city and gives you an amazing view. Wonderful fountain, lots of benches just to relax, and a playground on one end of the park to bring the kids. It was a lovely spot and glad we were able to see it.

MoreOne of the most beautiful historical monuments of the city.
Planten un Blomen is composed of several gardens which are all worth it. Going from a nice lake to a Japanese garden and a roses garden, you will also be able to admire a lot of different vegetal species in the free greenhouses. These gardens provide you various seating all along your promenade but you can also enjoy lying in the big green areas.
MoreNothing special. Just nice building to make a photo.
